Façade & Glazing Works: 6,145 m² | Construction Period: 2018–2019
Category: Diplomatic Architecture · Security-Rated Façade Systems · Climate-Responsive Design

From 2018 to 2019, our team delivered the complete aluminium window, door, and curtain-wall package for the Embassy of Estonia in China, located in Beijing’s Chaoyang District. The project involved the supply and installation of 6,145 m² of high-performance glazing and façade systems, carefully tailored to meet the architectural, security and functional requirements of a modern diplomatic compound.

The scope comprised thermally broken aluminium framing, high-specification insulated double-glazed units, and security-enhanced laminated glazing for both external façades and key internal interfaces. Systems were engineered to address Beijing’s continental climate—hot summers, cold winters and significant seasonal temperature variation—while maintaining excellent thermal insulation, acoustic comfort and long-term durability. Our thermally broken profiles were paired with tempered and laminated IGUs to optimise energy efficiency, occupant comfort and safety throughout the building.

As a foreign embassy project, the works demanded a heightened focus on quality assurance, security considerations and coordination with multiple stakeholders, including the client’s representatives, architects, engineers and local authorities. Our team prepared detailed shop and fabrication drawings, carried out site verification surveys, and closely managed interface detailing between glazing systems, structural elements and external cladding. Particular attention was given to airtightness, watertightness, fire-stopping at façade junctions, and compliance with relevant structural and seismic design requirements applicable in Beijing.

Logistics and installation planning were equally critical. Coordinated production scheduling, just-in-time deliveries and disciplined site management helped minimise disruption within a secure, access-controlled environment. Installation teams operated under strict safety procedures and access protocols, ensuring all façade components were installed efficiently and in line with the project’s programme constraints.

The completed glazing and curtain-wall works provide the embassy with a refined, contemporary architectural expression—combining clean aluminium lines, high-clarity glass and robust security performance. Internally, the façades support bright, naturally lit office and reception areas, while externally they reinforce the building’s dignified presence in the diplomatic district. This project underscores our capability to deliver complex institutional and diplomatic façade projects with precise engineering, reliable performance and consistently high workmanship standards.
